Minister questions plans to separate conjoined twins

Question 1

What are some of the problems involved in separating a conjoined twin?


Answer1

One twin will need to sacrifice to save the other twin. The surviving twin would often be left with brain damage or major problem of excessive blood loss and fatal problems with the spinal cord after the separation.


Question 2

If you were a part of a conjoined twin, would you rather stay together with your twin for the rest of your life or would you risk both your lives to go for an operation? Why?


Answer 2

I would stay together with my twin for the rest of my life .Being a conjoined twin only will have some inconveniences.If we are stick together for many years then suddenly we get separated,I will get not use to it.

What are big companies doing in order to be more socially responsible?

Answer1)They promote good corporate citizenship in this region.they made more activities like an agro-tourism farm for the unfortunate.

Question 2

How important it is to be socially responsible? And do you think it is still possible to make a social impact during the recession?

Answer2)It is very important because it involve with environment.I will be a volunteer when I am free.

What are some of the things that schools in Singapore are doing in order to take care of the environment?

Answer1

Some school ask their students to bring their electricity bills to teach them to save energy.some schools have fruit peels which can convert food waste into fertilizers.

Question 2

Do you think one person's effort in reducing, reusing and recycling will make a difference in saving the environment? What steps have you taken in the effort to save the earth?

Answer2

Yes. Don't waste water. when there is no need for the lights I will switch it off.use less air con or switch to use fans

How does the treatment programme of the Singapore Prison Service help sex offenders?

Answer1

It help them to learn about the way they think and how their actions flow from this and help them to choose not to commit sex offences when the urge arise again.

Question 2

Do you think that sex offenders should be given a second chance in the society? State your reason.

Answer2

If they want to improve and change into a better person.We should give them a second chance
